A recent bout of covid has put a road bump in my January, so this is another short post.

My final roll of 2023, loaded on the 31st of December, was a return of CatLabs 320. And just as I did with my first roll of CatLabs, I captured a few fetching dog portraits. All of these use the SMC 50mm/f4 macro lens, which offers a lot of good options for close up portraiture. Assuming your subject doesn’t mind you getting very close.

A black and white photo of a black and white dog. His head fills the frame, chin resting on the arm of a couch, paws poking out from underneath his chin. His eyes are open.
1/30s, f22, 50mm/f4 macro
